Rehoming A Pet

My new gig is rehoming a friend’s pet. She paid me to write an ad to post on social media and also to email to their network.

I told her to get started on my research I needed her to answer as many questions as thoroughly possible. The cat was a senior of 14 years, named Lady and was actually her son’s who had moved into a place where the resident’s were allergic, so my friend took Lady in but her landlord was vehement about her needing to rehome it right away.

I gave her the questionnaire and began researching what someone would need to know about rehoming an old cat.

I wasn’t sure how much a potential cat parent would know so I went off the idea that they didn’t know anything. I compiled a Welcome Home document from my research that supplied all they needed to know about taking care of a cat while I waited for the answers to my questions about how to care for Lady specifically.

I also was compiled a document for my friend about everything she needed to know about protecting Lady and screening potential adopters.
