Shining A Light On: Gulf of Alaska Keeper

Have you heard of GOAK? Stands for Gulf of Alaska Keeper.

I just found out about them. One day a guy went to enjoy the beauty of Alaska riding over Montague Island and he says, “I was just utterly astounded by all the garbage out there” in the wilderness along the coast.

He decided to do something about it.

Since 2002 they have cleaned up 3 million pounds of garbage and debris along the coast.

“You gotta kinda have a little respect for the environment, considering that we live in it.”
