Why Join Impactful Revenue?

Start with reading our Mission Statement.

If what we’re doing, sounds like where you want to be, then ask yourself a few questions:

  • Do you need a web presence?
  • Do you need a landing page?
  • Do you own your own domain?
  • Do you have a blog to write to you community often, & are you able to write out useful posts?
  • Do you have an outlet to sell online to the global community?
  • Are you too busy to keep up with consistent marketing?
  • Do you have $500 a month to run a business from online?

Web Presence

With over 2 billion people online, you need a web presence to be seen by potential customers and collaborators. If you’re visible online, you can establish a reputation that builds trust and if the customer can find you faster, you can provide better customer service when they reach out to you. Online, it’s easier to build a stronger brand and make it more recognizable at a fraction of the cost of doing business offline – a definite plus for a micro business.

Credit Linked In

Landing Page

Using social media is a phenomenal (and often free) way to create a web presence. Unfortunately, it isn’t one size fits all. Most social platforms require someone finding you to sign-in on the platform. If someone doesn’t have an account, they can’t review the content you have up.

On Meta platforms, the Facebook wall & Instagram posts that contain years of content, create difficulty for potential customers to find anything unless they scroll endlessly to get to a certain post. On Instagram, it’s difficult to link anything unless you have a link tree (there’s only so many times you can write “link in bio” before what you’re trying to link gets lost).

Having a landing page (here I am referring to a Home or About Page), you can organize photos, videos, links, and what you want to say in an easy to see post, and link it to other content throughout the site.

Domain

Remember GoDaddy.com? Usually it’s the layperson’s first encounter regarding obtaining their own domain, or a web address. Now there are a number of places to buy a domain from (although, technically you’re just renting it). Once you know what you want to call your website, it’s important to buy (rent) the name as soon as you can. The favorite site address is at .com, or .org. But there are a lot of different options like .edu, .me, .net & more.

The domain itself is not very difficult to purchase unless it’s a fancy or desirable name. That could be tens of thousands of dollars. In general you should be able to find an address for your website for $10-$100 a year.

The harder part is finding a registrar to host your domain. It’s really not hard, it’s just an extra stop, (and charge). If you use something like BlueHost, you need to be able to understand coding, though WordPress.org lets you link with them, so read more about it first. You can also just use web hosts with done-for-you templates and themes. Impactful Revenue’s participants have used Vista Print, Wix (which merged and took over Vista Print’s web building) & WordPress.com. But there are many, many others with different price points, offerings, services, limits, tech support, and much more.

While researching to start Impactful Revenue, the hosting sites (you pay to register your domain to the web and have people find you) needed to be coded by the buyer (you), and were like less than $100, while the built-in themed sites, ranged from $50-$500 a year, depending on the upgrades. It definitely can go up from there.

Blog

If nothing else, it’s worth it to get a blog and paste the link to your social page. Some blogs are still free, like the testing sites started with WordPress.com. But free means limited access, and there was a lot of content that couldn’t be unlock until it was upgraded.

When you have a blog, you have a voice, and you can share it with the world (whether they find it, is a different story entirely – read up on SEO). With a blog you can regularly post:

  • Reviews
  • Inform
  • Educate
  • Tutorials
  • Demos
  • Videos
  • Lessons
  • Case Studies
  • Events
  • “How To”s
  • Frequently Asked Questions
  • Special Releases

Write a series about a road trip, a class you enjoyed, where to find the best of [anything], give advice or tips. The list is infinite as your imagination.

It doesn’t matter if there are gajillion other people writing about the same thing, just find a way to be helpful to your audience and build your relationship with them. You don’t have to be a genius, either. Be helpful and write often are the biggest things to remember.

Sell Online

When you’re running a business, the number one thing to stay afloat is to have income. Without it, a business becomes a hobby, a non-profit volunteer organization, or a sink hole you have to keep throwing money into without any return on investment. The revenue you generate month-upon-month, and year-upon-year will be how you can “keep the lights on” and develop & grow your business.

The best way, when you’re already online with over 2 billion other people, for you to attract revenue is to set up shop online. It’s not a brick-and-mortar place to come into during certain hours, but is a 24-hour access point for people to browse your offerings and decide if it will be a good fit for their lives.

If you don’t have a product ready, sell PDFs, eBooks or informative white pages with pertinent information to your business & audience. If you’re in music, crafts, the arts, or performance business, sell audios or videos of the same nature or with lessons or tutorials. Alternatively, get into affiliate marketing and sell other people’s products for a commission. Some commissions can be 51%!

In any case, the benefit of an online store is it’s cheaper than a physical store and all the overheard: from rent to employees. It’s easier to scale and expand your store as your business grows, instead of moving from a smaller space to a bigger one. Marketing logistics also make tracking your data easier (if you can track your data, you can see what works, what doesn’t and improve it all faster).

But although it’s not $10,000/month rent, utilities & start-up plus $5,000 a month in salaries to staff, there is still a price tag for selling online. While I was looking, most of the e-commerce options I came across were $400-$1000 or more a year on top of your other costs and don’t include the 2-5% fees and taxes per transaction for using credit card transactions.

You also have to consider if the company you use is SAFE, SECURE, without GLITCHES and will be EASY for your customer to access, be user friendly, quick, and process purchases as well as refunds seamlessly – to avoid additional headaches. For instance, Impactful Revenue went with the trusted e-commerce source Shopify for a deal of $348 a year.

Consistent Marketing

Everything takes time, and there is only so much in the day, so you have to carve out time to put in the hours to keep your business alive. This is where it helps to have branding for your business. Your brand sets the tone of your business’s personality: what you look like, sound like, and act, and determines how people see you. If it resonates with people then they become your core audience and know what to expect when they keep coming back to you.

But you have to give them content to keep coming back to — this is part of your marketing strategy. Where you show up to meet your audience, how often you reach out, what you offer to help them all comes into play.

And there are billions of businesses out there, so if you’re too inconsistent about reaching out, you can lose your audiences’ interest (unless they’re already die-hard fans) to literally ANYTHING else: Netflix, doom-scrolling, family, competitive business, new shiny thing, etc.

Marketing is so essential, those in marketing make up like half a trillion dollars globally. But it also means, it’s often unaffordable for a micro business. Because as long as the business is alive, it’s going to need more and more marketing to stay top-of-mind.

That’s why blogging is such a great way to get into marketing – because it’s free. It’s relatively easy to get started and send out to your community – through email.

Consistent marketing when implemented on a schedule, helps to add to your reputation which, of course, impacts your bottom line when your customers trusts you enough to continue to come back to you.

Even though you know this, doesn’t mean you have the bandwidth, energy & time to do this. Another thing on the list while you try to keep all the administrative parts in order, and meet with clients, filling orders, setting up shop, preparing campaigns, raising a family, taking care of the household. Things can hit overwhelm fairly easy.

It’s always worth it, you just have to make the time for it at least one time per week.

Can You Afford $500 (or more) a month to run a business online?

Because I remember a time when I couldn’t (and I still prefer not to).

Hey there, I’m Alitta, and I’m the voice, writer & founder behind Impactful Revenue.

I have taken a lot of years to figure out about marketing, business, online business, web marketing, and the bare minimum of financing in terms of generating income and building credit.

And now that I am in a better position, I choose to offer a hand and a leg up to those who need it.

That’s why I’m offering Impactful Revenue’s service as an incubator for micro to small businesses that prefer to build their business without spending a small fortune – regardless of whether they can afford it.

What If You Join Us?

Since you already know what you need, and you have an idea of the cost, let me show you what Impactful Revenue has to offer, should you decide join us.

  • a web presence here at your new home on ImpactfulRevenue.com
  • a landing page akin to a Home or About page like this one, this one, or this one (password: love)
  • a “domain” tailored url code (bit.ly/YourNameHere)
  • your own Collection in our Boutique through Shopify
  • access to Impactful Revenue’s community & resources
  • a chance to grow with us and access to more as we develop

[Note: Impactful Revenue will retain overall artistic licensing and direction over the landing page, while giving you as much room to decide. The final say will be determined by Impactful Revenue, though]

Right now it’s costing about $1200 per year to operate online, but those costs will most definitely go up as Impactful Revenue continues to grow and upgrade.

I could be less than transparent and charge $100/month for the above services alone. But I know what it means to be a micro business owner flying by a hope, a dream, and massive amounts of effort & hard work.

Regularly the rate will be a minimum charge of $40/month for the above services, but for now I’m keeping the costs down very low and only charging $22/month as the fee for having a web presence on ImpactfulRevenue.com, including:

  1. an About page
  2. a tailored “domain” url code of your choosing
  3. a Collection in our Boutique
  4. current & future access to Impactful Revenue’s community & resources

For only

And because I want to see you succeed, if you pay a full year in advance, I’ll reduce the price to $200 (that’s less than $17/month!)

Or

(that’s less than $17/month)

If it’s worth it to you, then go ahead and contact me to sign up.

One More Thing

I hope you didn’t think I forgot about the importance of consistent marketing and how I’m a HUGE advocate for using blogging to engage with your audience.

I know it’s very important, but I just don’t have time to help everyone who joins with running their own blog. And it is an additional fee for me to have unlocked access to WordPress’s tools, so if you want to have access to the blog on the Impactful Revenue home (that already has a list of subscribers), it will be an upgrade to add the service.

Regularly, I’d probably charge $40/month just for the blog access upgrade (each post could be worth that at a bare minimum!) and leave each business to freely write their own posts (maximum 5 posts per month/60 posts per year/business).

[Note: posts by each business will be reviewed and, pending approval, before being authorized]

But for the micro business beginners out there, I’ve decided to set the rate to start at $8/post or 3 posts for $20/month, to write your own on our site. For an extra $5/post or $12/month (total $13 per post, or $32 per month), I can write them for you.

My work speaks for itself. Go through the Blogs and decide if that would be worth it to you to:

  • have me write for your audience, OR
  • write your posts yourself & post them on the ImpactfulRevenue.com blog, OR
  • simply posts links to your Home/About page then route your audience to an external [free] blog site (no charge, & unlimited links to posts).

[Note: posts by each business will be reviewed and, pending approval, before being authorized]

Whatever is best for you.
