You can’t talk about politics
Just don’t talk about politics
I’m not really political
You’re “just not that into politics?”
Your boss is. Your landlord is. Your insurance company is.
And every day they use their political power to keep your pay low, raise your rent, and deny you coverage.
It’s time to get into politics.
The political climate is chaotic and whipped into a frenzy.
You’re probably feeling overwhelmed, blind sided and completely winded.
It’s hard to figure out what to watch to get a grip on what happened today.
And if you had to tap out for a few days, it’s hard to figure out how to get a run down on the last few weeks.
It seems America (U.S.) often lets politics go to the wayside, either because of busy-ness, conflicting opposition with neighbors/co-workers/friends/family, or going out & having fun.
So things have been swept under the rug, ignored, not spoken about, or fallen through the cracks.
We put politics aside.
But now it’s time to have an aside for politics.

When you’re ready to pick up and figure out where to start, what to listen to, or what to do, here’s a bit I’ve gathered up.
This will be a living post, probably for the next year – minimum.
Read about my political stance here.

Tik Tok @ravenclausen discusses Triple Canopy private contractor (Congress passed) refusing entry to Congress members. Who they are, and why you should call your local congress member to demand we eliminate this contract.
Love & Uplifting Activism
Same Love – Macklemore
I’ve loved this song since that time I danced with Silver Horse.
Hostile Takeover
I was so pleased to find this awesome Remix as soon as I found the song!

Be Informed, & Stay Hopeful
Basically the only way I can digest the news is with a heaping spoonful barrelful of laughs
These guys always come through with the news that’s vetted, memorable & fun. Stephen Colbert has a number of expert specialists with answers, opinions or thoughts. John Oliver usually has a great call to action, too.
Youtube video of Bernie Sanders, Feb 11, 2025
It’s a bit long, but it covers all the bases and was worth the listen.
Something seems impossible, only until it is done…
The facts. The call to action.
I knew I liked her, but I couldn’t remember why. This is a beautiful reminder why.

“Republicans are crying about being attacked. They are the very people creating the reality that they claim to be so afraid of.” – Brian Tyler Cohen
Everyday you wake up and say what can I do today?
Every.
Single.
Act.
Matters.
Put constant pressure and commit to saving our democracy
Make them show a warrant
Make them show a document
Make them assert their authority
Ask them who they are
At the end of the day, they’re just like you
Constant pressure now, matters
Resist
Outnumber them. They cannot sustain us
We cannot give up
