The Elements in Action

 — A Deeper Practice

Continued from When You Hit a Rut

Air. Water. Earth. Fire

= Breathe.  Bathe.  Barefoot.

Fire is the hardest.

Lighting a safe fire & sitting by it is ideal.

Visualizing your own inner fire.

But first.

a check-in

Allow me to guide you back home into your self.

Grab a journal (try to stay out of the digital world with paper or tape recorder, but if you have to, then digital tools on laptop, phone, or voice memo can work as well.)

Write down thoughts surrounding these prompts:

Where are you now.

What is wrong.

What is the problem.

How will you find the solution?

This isn’t a dissertation.

Write swiftly, using only the first thoughts that come to mind.  No need to dwell or elaborate here.

Next

One deep breath, & release naturally, but swiftly.

Then

Breathe deeply in on 4 counts.  Hold your breath to the count of 4.

Release your breath on 4 counts.  Hold the exhale for 4 counts.

Repeat  4-10x

Too hard? Start with 1 count.  Increase as able.

List all of your problems for about 5-10 minutes.

Pour it all out so that you no longer have to hold it in.

Think of your greatest desires for about 5-10 minutes.

Dream your highest dream.

  • Your goals
  • Deepest desires
  • wants
  • achievements

List these

What if you had every resource to get anything you ever wanted.

What would you get?  do?  be?

Write this list for about 5-10 minutes.

Blow on this list

Walk barefoot to your destination (where possible)

you will be putting them both in the fire.

If no fire is available then

put them in the visual fire.

or bury them in salt or sand or earth.

or toss into the ocean.

If you can’t do any of these, then

simply visualize the prompt of choice for a few minutes.

Release the problems first —

let them be carried away on the smoke & drift by the wind.

or let the earth absorb all its power and drown deep into the earth’s core,

or the ocean’s currents

Release your desires —

let them be witnessed by the Universe as a declaration of Self

& become seeds for a possible future.

If you only visualized your release of your paper,

it is okay to soak in water, rip to pieces,

& toss in recycle bin

no matter which mode you visualized.

smudge with plant & fire

or splash face & feet with water

or bury feet in earth, or stand next to a tree / rooted plant

or sprinkle salt over your feet

or simply imagine the Fire, Water, Earth, Wind masters

taking any residual energy and dispersing it for you.

Before bed (90 mins to 30 mins)

take a bath or shower

bring up thoughts around your ritual earlier

allow all these thoughts & attachments to those problems & those desires flow

allow the water to cleanse your body, mind, heart, spirit & soul

release unto the earth & the universe to be used as energy for constructive good

ask *Higher Power* to heal your attachments & thoughts of lack or unworthiness.

know that you are cleared of them

Go to bed

You shall begin anew upon the next day.

Let me know how that works for you.
